This is a history project for my American history class. The assignment was to create an informative music video about an event in American history, and to explain why the music keeps the theme of the event. (I made a mistake at the end, "Jisas Yu Hand Blong Mi" is not in the video :3 the song is "God Yu Tekem Laef Blong Mi"

  • Nice video but just one thing. Although the Marines played a big role in Guadacanal.

This is actually the US Army not the Marines. The Marines left the island and the Army is sent in to wipe out the remaining Japanese forces.

  • @cripplehawk Yeaaa I know lol. I just didn't have any Marine footage real or movie. I really wanted to use footage from "The Pacific" but it wasn't on DVD yet so i just went with this.

  • Good stuff, but Guadalcanal certainly wasn't the "first step".

  • @Shifty8777 well step, test whatever you want to call it. i meant it as their first actual offensive.

  • Mate, that was amazing and if that was the video that you used in you history class i would give at an A* (the best grade possible) :) nice work mate and pay no attention to these idiots who think its bad because its NOT..its amazing..well done again :))

  • @buckleyaaron61 thanks man!

  • 2 uncles, 1 europe, 1 the pacific. i myself grew up next to a VA hospital during nam. my heart my tears... i hurt so so much. God bless their Souls, They are so dear, so so dear.

  • @cripplehawk he actually did say that if you payed attention! His 2nd sentence of the project was " sent US Marines AND ARMY"!!

  • For people overseas to understand that comment below. Amphibious is water infantry types. Ya... living on a ship and other shit. Mechanized is Armoured Light Infantry vehicles. Airborne are paratroopers. Air Assault are helicopter infantry from Air Cav units. Now these days its not really like that, LIGHT units adapt to the siutation now. LIGHT INFANTRY is the way to go. Airborne units are Air Assault I think now.

  • Dont care for the movie. This music is awesome. Id listen to this on replay long time ago before I went "in".

Im all for hearing people that say there are a difference between army infantry and marine infantry. Dont add in the "HIGHER" types. Because they both go to RIP (haha)

Amphibious? Mechanized? Airborne? Air Assault? I think the regular LIGHT infantry in Air Assault might be the best for regular. Airborne and Mech is just as good. Bradleys are manned by infantry that eat humans

  • @cripplehawk Ya it happened alot. Corrigidor was another example of the marines in usa (I wouldnt look it up). Dont worry about it. Marine infantry are the same as army infantry.

  • Para una película MARAVILLOSA,no podía faltar la banda sonora del MEJOR COMPOSITOR de todos los tiempos HANS ZIMMER,para mi gusto la mejor película jamas filmada y la mejor banda sonora jamas escrita.

  • bro this is amazing I cannot imagine a better project then yours

  • this film is about the human spirit not war.and a damn good one at that.......

  • very nice......perfect for the one of the best ever :D

  • Well done my friend! I love this movie and you did an awesome job on your project! As it was stated in the movie, Guadalcanal was the turning point in the war in the pacific. Superb job!
