The Keighley And Worth Valley Railway Once Again Held Their Popular Autumn Steam Gala, With This Year Seeing The Return Of Both LMS Class 5 No. 45212 And LMS 4F No. 49324. Six Locomotives Were In Service:
-Visiting GWR 2-8-0 No. 2807
-LMS Class 5 No. 45212 (Last Gala Appearance Before Overhaul)
-LMS 4F No. 49324 (First Gala Appearance After Overhaul) (Not Feartured As Was Declared Failed On The Day Of My Visit)
-L&Y No. 957
-LMS Ivatt 2MT No. 41241
-0-6-0 Nunlow
Highlights Include:
Part1: LMS Class 5MT No. 45212 Leaving Keighley For Oxenhope
Part2: GWR 2-8-0 No. 2807 Climbing The Hill Towards Oakworth

  • I was helping in the shed on the Saturday. Wished I had ridden behind a few of the trains on both Friday and Saturday now. Black 5 leaving Keighley is sensational. The sound and skill to keep the loco and train moving. Great stuff.

  • They managed to repair the 4F (problem with one of the injectors) and she worked a couple of trains later in the afternoon.
