Gameplay from UGH! by Softek, playing on the Dragon 32, 8 bit vintage home computer. Retro Gaming.

This is not a review, walkthrough, playthrough, or demonstration of my playing ability.
It's simply a quick demonstration of the game so that anyone not familiar with these old games can see what it looks like.
It's also here so that I can embed it, along with most of the games in my collection, on my website (see link above).

Any opinions or comments I make regarding these games should largely be taken with a pinch of salt.
They are usually based on my first impressions after a very brief play.

  • not sure about this one, it doesn't seem that great.

  • It's mildly amusing, if you're in the mood for something a little different.

  • The Spice racks must flow :D

  • I'll name that Dune in one ;)

  • I thought the very same thoughts as you Steve before you said it in the clip

    ... Very game and watch!!

In it's own way It looks quite quite charming.

    Remember B.C's quest for tires?

    Grandstand's Caveman?

We used to get the occasional prehistoric based game...

    now it looks like one!!!

I think you should have said this a walk through

on the titles for this one!!!

    lol. x

  • I've seen Quest for Tires... I might even have it here on some system or other... not sure.

I never played Grandstand Caveman, but I have seen it.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Chipsturs has that... he's into those tabletop games in a big way.

  • I had this! Very playable in the day. There were a lot worse! lol

  • Looking back I think that this video is in the top 10 funniest Stevebenway videos.

There's something about the fact that you can't get the game to start and always come back to the title screen which has the word "UGH!" written in big letters that I find hilarious! :)

  • looks like fun, lots of hours will fall off to this game :D

  • I've still got my Dragon 32 as well as this game - I also have Grandstand's Caveman tabletop game that broken1394 mentioned below. This is such a similar concept... I didn't notice it at the time.

  • Where's the "Any" key?! I see "Esc" I see "Contarel"! THERE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE ANY ANY KEY!

    -Homer Simpson

    Great video, man!

  • I could play that game over and over again just trying to best my personal best score. Good stuff Steve.

  • And in this time the most precious substance is the spice... LOL So a classic bedroom coded game then..

  • You solved one of the two big gaming-questions of my life, Steve. I saw this game at a friend's house somewhere in the early 80ies and I loved it. But having my own C-64 shortly after that I never got in touch with it again. Until yesterday I couldn't remember the name. But now I'm smart again, thanx! If I only could remember the name of this other game I once had...

  • Great review over a game I've never heard of. Probably the best title for a game I've heard in awhile. lol

  • This one looks alright. I think I'd manage to play it for a little while. Could use a FEW more sound effects, but it looks good.
