@switchfootluver96 I think, from what I hear in the lyrics and this might be wrong, it sounds like Jon's saying we've only got a set amount of time to do everything we can. So with our one try and one life we've got to 'burn out bright' meaning we've got shine and be the best we can. Because there's not enough time for second chances. But I might be wrong =]
