No problem changing thermostats and refill with my '69 Pontiac Tempest back in the Collage year. I had issue with my 1998 Subaru Forester DAYS after replace/ refill one.Temperature gauge hit extreme high in the red zone. Off to cool and Start repeatedly to avoid over heating to the nearest Dealer : Claim blown gasket cost almost 4 grands. Same happen to my 2006 Civic. Dealer claim improper coolant drain. Need special equipment to extract air bubble to avoid air lock cost $65. Please educate !!

I have a 2007 Dodge Caravan 3.3 Lt.. My housing has a "Rubber circular " gasket in the housing mateing sirface. Do i need to use a replacement cork type gasket(size of my housing) with sealer compound to re-assemble? Or do i just need to clean all surface and make sure the rubber one is not damaged or if damaged ,just replace with a rubber gasket/ idendical?

Hey nice video
-
good video other than you said "notice im using a coolant that is a REDISH, ORGANISH color" @ 7:53, hope you know RED is a entirely different antifreeze, and ORANGE is a entirely different antifreeze, there is no redish, organish antifreeze lol.

This is an awesome video. It answered my question about what exactly the gasket should look like. It is the rubber ring that goes around the thermostat. Thanks!
