Musical sensation Jonny Riddim and his crew are Birding on the Waterloo Moraine when they are approached by a urban sprawl Developer, played by Uncle JAck from the Love Guru, who wants to destroy groundwater recharge areas, natural heritage areas, threatened species habitats, and agricultural lands on the Waterloo Moraine for profit. He wants to build urban sprawl.
Riddim and his crew of Morainiacs, Diemond, Captain Moraine, and Kayne Obama, enlighten the Developer about the sensitivities of the Waterloo Moraine and the need for greater intensification of existing built up areas.
Moraine Appeal Part 1 coincides with the Region of Waterloo's public consultation on its draft Official Plan update which governs land use planning until 2029.
All residents of the Grand River Watershed are strongly encouraged to contact their politicians (municipal, provincial, and federal) and request that they save it, don't pave it, the Waterloo Moraine!
