I sailed my 28' Bristol Channel Cutter JUNESSA from Gig Harbor, WA to Petersburg, AK and back. I made an unplanned side trip to the Queen Charlotte Islands, then made a two half day open ocean crossing to Port Hardey.

  • I used various cameras and setups... I used a cheap-o tripod with extended legs to hold on to... or a monopod with small ballhead. I used a Flip Video and Canon G11 for most of the filming...

  • A splendid tale of a beautiful sail! I enjoyed your camerawork as well as the story of the trip!

  • What did you use to hold your camera? Some sort of extension? Steadycam? It works pretty well.

  • Kewl video, i need to work on my editing. Your boat seems larger than 28ft.

  • Looks like a great trip. Don't know if I'd have the balls to single-hand in Alaskan waters. The boat is gorgeous. For a 28 footer these are big boats. Maybe one day, when my wife stops sailing, I can consider something of this size for just me.

Keep posting the sailing vids please!

  • Loved the clip mate and what a great looking boat you have :) keep up the good work.
