  • lol Best comment ever! xD

  • for those who want to know how you do it: look at the video, wee see a 3d room but everything else seems flat(candle stands, windows etc)..

if you look closer you'll understand everything.. I'll explain..

take a picture and divide it in 5 planes(floor, ceiling and the 3 walls) stretch them out(don't over do it) makin a 3d room and that's about it!! make an animation with a "zoom" in shot and you have the results..

    great job man btw!!

  • Wait, is this how they created the "prerendered" backgrounds for Resident Evil? I always thought that it were a stack of 2D images like flapjacks, only facing the camera to give the illusion of a 3D enviroment; only that there was an invisible 3D level the player could walk on. Essentially, the player would seemingly be walking around in an image.

Someone tried explaining to me what you did but I couldn't comprehend it without seeing an example.

  • @syrese oh wow, how smart! We never knew that! WOW!

  • haha :) 2 years ago i tried exactly same staff with exactly same photo :) good work.

  • What soft should I download except Photoshop to create 3d pics out of regular 2d jpeg's please?

  • not quite. You see that technique - gives you verry distorted textures on the face regions closest to the camera. On 2D to 3D aplications - sometime s you have a possibility to sorta make 2D map from perspective view by interpolation or so. So its not just make-a-mesh-put-a-map.

  • hahaha, just noticed. The key is the chandeleers.

    Very cool effect

  • the other two were "three words"

  • Good one...
