@TheBLTproduction She does it's just she lives so far away (She's Canadian u know (:D) So this girl is used as a stand in to help coordinate the flow of acting together.

Spike being voiced by a woman was no surprise to me. Tara Strong (Twilight's voice actor) was voice of Timmy Turner and Ben Tennyson and they were both young boys.
Basicly the idea for a woman to do a young boy's voice is one reason to keep the show running.
