The first 2 still photos show the creek at normal winter levels. The rest is what it looked like on December 28th 2005. The water is about 12 feet deep at flood stage and the bank had caved in several times at the waters edge...hence the statement "I don't want to get to close" I have 200 feet of creek frontage. It is a couple 100 yards behind my home...well minus 3 feet, and a tree now!

  • i remember the first house in the vid just out past wilderville. i wondered why they built it down on the flood plain like that.

  • I always wondered about that also. They still have a house there and last year had a foot of water in their front yard.

  • Wow...I really love it when nature goes top extremes like that. You probably wouldn't have been able to do that with a 1980's car!

  • it was pretty wild. the worst part is that i lost 15 feet of bank from my back yard :( the tree i said was going is gone along with several others and all the ground i was standing on back there to shoot the video is gone

  • crazy. still, it looks beautiful out there. oregon was highly considered in my places to move to.

  • We have gotten more rain today. The creek is higher than it was on wednesday and starting to flow into my back yard. The rain is not supposed to let up until tomorrow evening!

  • talk about a flood check my vid

  • Wow. Just proves the point you have to video what you can while you can because you never know when it is going to vanish forever. I once recorded one of the best hail showers of my life. Great fun. Lost the video but the memory is more clear as a result of watching it a few times.
