  • MY BROTHER AND I DID THIS FOR HIS STUDENTS BUT NOT NEAR AS GOOD I'M SO GLAD THEY ARE STILL AROUND. MY BROTHER IS GONE, BUT IM STILL HERE TO LISTEN AND LOVE.

  • @rvcrvc2 There is no way to trivialize Emmylou. She is singing harmony on the Willie and Merle version at a guitar pull. There are other versions she sings the whole song. She is probably the greatest and most sought harmony singer in music, with the possible exceptions of James Taylor or Sting and even then she is definitely in their league,

  • I will never forget Willie Nelson's Picnic in Sacramento (Huges Stateum). Willie did his 18 songs. When Emmylou 'flight' was delayed, he did her 18 song set. Merle, Lacy Dalton did their 18 Sets, Emmylou did hers and then Willie did the closing 18 song set. Then he walked off stage and they the audience wanted ONE SONG more. 34 songs later, people were screaming Willie, I gotta go home, the baby sitters charges double. One said "Just Ignore him, he's being an A-hole!! I was there---Amazing!!!

  • Damn...Listenin to Emmylou reminds me of my great gmaw...singin me to sleep after she had fed me too many grapes...chips n french onion dip...and lil glass bottle cokes. I love you Lacy

  • There are 3 people with severe brain damage who watched this video.

  • Great version, I like the splice of Townes too. What a concert this must have been. I picked out Peter Rowan, Guy Clark, Lyle Lovett, and a bunch more I didn't recognize, maybe Steve Earle (?) Anyone know any more about this event?

  • This song should double hock ever 'punchers heart there is, cause many a Cowboy I know has a real feel for Pancho's desire for freedom (real or imagined) . Why in downtown Tucson they a have a statue of ol' Pancho. My Father was murdered by Mexican Bandits, and yet I like this song. Viva la Border! Just good. purty work!
