I live in Sweden and i bought in one of the better cookingshops the American measurings cups and spoons, so i never have to worry about the right amount in grams if i am using American recipes. They are a little bit expensive, but worth it.

my mom uses a shot of sherry or brandy in all cake recipies and it tastes great - we don't have orange extract but we use vanilla instead -

hi Alia, what you measure flour and sugar with, when you say cup, how many grams are there? I live in Norway so a bit hard to understand:) but you are absolutely super, thank you for sharing this with us. I'm not that good to make Moroccan food but you get it to work so easily. so mom is impressed with me since I make Moroccan food now:) thanks

I am using U.S. metrics. you can do a search in 'google' to see cooking calculators that switch cups to grams for everything.
hope this helps :-)

My wife and I just made this cake. It was delicious. Did you use cake flour or regular flour? And for the walnuts, did you measure nuts then chop? Or chop then measure? That should do it. Thank you.

I am so glad you enjoyed it! I used regular flour and I measured the nuts then chopped.
