You should take your daughter to see the Boyz, Alex, Neil and The Ged. My Dad did during the Moving Pics Tour and i have all the albums and still lesten to them frequently

did anyone see the guy to the left of the stage in the apron who drummed every beat of the night

Wow,superb sound recording!

Once Again , Alex just nailed the solos that night , despite looking oh so tired

Oh, and that is an awesome recording. Thanks.

Last night was the first time I've seen Rush in 30 years. Great gig. Oh to be young again and watching them at the Birmingham Odeon.

You put up w/all that mid 80's/early 90's disco crap w/Geddy playing keyboards? Ha. I left after Signals & came back to see Snakes & Arrows. Rush spent at least 15 years being boring. Truly unlistenable. People can only see Rush once a year because for that tour they play the same show every night. They had two truly great years: 1980, 1981: Permanent Waves, Motion Pictures. Despite all these years I must admit they are a well behaved, entirely sane group of guys who work hard for the fans.

@eqsmooth How old are you? or are you just dismissing Hemispheres, A farewell to kings, 2112, even the 3 Early albums Rock the Balls off me still! Love the use of the word "Motion" :)

@stosh2007 How thick can a person be?
What did you NOT get? I said I gave up after seeing them in '80 and '81, just after Signals came out. The albums you named were all recorded in the 1970's. One of my favorite albums is their least popular, Caress of Steel. Critically panned. But they did not become GREAT until Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures. Try to listen to The Trees, the most ridiculous song ever. There are not any Rush albums as good as PW and MP. Flawless.

@eqsmooth I don't know lol but you seem to be managing it perfectly!! I just disagree about "They had two truly great years: 1980, 1981:" I believe From Caress up to and Including Permeant Waves were the golden years. Just my opinion:) Although "Moving" Pictures is a well crafted album - for me - too much keyboard :) I can't believe you did not include 2112 tour and the Hemispheres tour as "great" years. as i say just my opinion. :)
