Yep, you're correct about Vinnie being an amazing songwriter but his ego got the best of him and he wanted to be the star of the show not be part of a band. Sadly, Vinnie took the keys to the kingdom and threw them into the deepest part of the ocean after he was offered the chance of a lifetime. He really should have gotten some counseling and therapy for his behavior and he could have salvaged his unhealthy behavior. Now, he's a loser beating his wife and being arrested. Very sad situation!

This would be a perfect tune for Michael Bolton to cover since whoever the singer here is sounds like Bolton.
It's actually a pretty schlocky song, though. It only sounds awesome because so much of today's popular music is just so bad.
