Caravan tours in Costa Rica are loaded with filler, too much bus time, too much buffets, and junky locations like Tortuga. THe worst part is there website posted edited reviews rather then any true negative points. ITs cheap, its like shopping at walmart, which is sucky if you live in a nice home and city already.

Laguna Lodge in Tortuguerdo was the worst. Dirty and it had roaches. Did anyone get sick? We just got back 1/25/11 and about 1/2 of our bus was terribly sick. Caravan did NOTHING!!! I liked Costa Rica, but I'll never travel with Caravan again!

j.w. marriot was by far the best... the last hotel is disgusting...trashy and poorly taken care of.
at least it is when your at the j.w. the night before...
