Volunteer or career firefighter, it makes no difference. His behavior ultimately effects the efficiency with which a "job" can be completed. If he gets injured he the becomes the priority. And, if he has to wait for someone to bring him PPE, which I doubt, then he must wait, surely he could/is carrying it with him.

@Zeekstuff yeah i'm a volley in alabama and our chief usually gets there before our units do and makes initial observations and tells us what to do when we get there. i guess it's dif everywhere
