  • I can't discern it on the sample pages on your website, so could you please tell me what you'd say is the skill range of these patterns? I'm only a beginner; I'm still trying to learn all the "knit-ese" and various little knitting tricks and so on. Is your book's language easy to understand, the instructions clear enough to follow? I think the charts could help, at least. The shawls in this book are so beautiful, I would love to be able to make at least some of them. Thanks for your help!

  • @Fela07 I just saw this comment. Sorry. Some of the shawls are quite easy! The shawl on the "learn to recycle silk" still has only one pattern row every third row. The rose-colored cocoon is straight stockinette stitch. The book explains how to adapt the different designs to your skill level by choosing uncomplicated lace patterns then progressing to more complex ones. Hope that helps.

  • YES! That is what I was looking for! As I am not working (stay at home with the kids) I do not have too much money to spend on my hobbies and have to choose wisely what to buy. WONDERFUL PROJECTS AHEAD - thank you

  • @habergoiss Thank YOU!

  • @ParlezMoiPress That is helpful. Thank you for responding. I'm considering buying this book. I just love shawls!

  • Great music and pictures. :)

  • Wonderful to see mature models for once!

  • gorgeous hand work ; wish I could be so disciplined to complete something like this to give to each of my 2 daughters to have as an heirloom; I would need to start now so maybe in 50 years I could get it done, probably not. Love the work

  • @bluejuiseritsma

I know what you mean. It's tough to know what you are doing wrong when there is noone there to teach you.
