This has been one of my favorites since the day the ALBUM was released. Can remember the band coming to the IHOP I worked at when they were starting out in KC. Great guys that never got their due. Every song on the first ALBUM was great, never did lift the needle to skip!!!

No, sadly it wouldn't have put them over the top. There was nothing more they could do. Infighting within Virgin Records and broken promises left this band to twist in the wind. Burning was an amazing record and Silent Scream is one of the best rock albums ever made, and there should have been AT LEAST 7 massive AOR hits from it. But Virgin put it out with zero promotion. The way that company treated this band was beyond a disgrace. A live album would've met the same fate.

@lkimsey2315 Agreed. I saw them in a small club in San Francisco in 1981. To this day, that was the best show I ever saw.

The biggest mistake Shooting Star made was not recording a live album. That would have put them over the top. Their live shows were freaking awesome. Or at least the 20 or so that I saw were.

Difficult. Everytime I hear something from Shooting Star it pisses me off to no end. . . one of the most underrated bands ever. Why they didn't make it big (like Styx and Journey) is beyond me.
