@sfdsdfsdfsdfful Very true. The material used to seal such as putty tape doesn't cure hard, as these mostly wooden boxes flex and the silicone pops apart at the seams.
I think it is important to put a few thin rubber spacers on the bottom of the window frame before re-installing. Ideally, the window should "float" & not touch the frame.
I obtained some excellent double-pane solarcool bronze replacement windows from a place called peninsula glass, in vancouver washington.

Most people seem to be against using silicon, instead recommending ProflexRV instead, fyi.
