Dr. Susannah Heschel, Eli Black Professor of Jewish Studies at Dartmouth College and winner of the National Jewish Book Award, spoke Friday morning, January 14, to students at Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Boston at the school's observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Dr. Heschel's father, Abraham Joshua Heschel, who was one of the leading Jewish theologians and Jewish philosophers of the 20th century, marched with Dr. King. Dr. Heschel shared with students and teachers her knowledge of the compelling events of this time.
