Try to remember the kind of September
When life was slow and oh, so mellow
Try to remember the kind of September
When grass was green and grain was yellow
Try to remember the kind of September
When I was a tender and callow fellow
Try to remember and if you remember
Then follow, (follow), follow your heart...
Deep in December it's nice to remember
Although you know the snow will follow
Deep in December it's nice to remember
Without a hurt the heart is hollow
Deep in December it's nice to remember
The fire of September that made us mellow
Deep in December our hearts should remember
And follow, follow, follow, follow your heart...

We loved the fact that anyone Irish was on TV...Val, Dave Allen........... we adored them - & not only for being Irish [!], but for making us so proud, by being talented, and so deservedly adorable. Val's musical talents were not appreciated then.....they are now, for sure.

love this , in Ireland at aunt Lily's making buns and my late brother Kevin making his famous Sidney Squares. the sound of the tall trees making there majestic movements, smells of the recently gathered sticks burning away in the black American style stove' and listening to Val. Innocence and happiness.
