Cheers bonn :-)
you can change the seal with the box intact, if that's the only problem,
a smear of silicon on the sprocket splines also helps.
It's easiest with the motor on its side.

I think I will try knock up a weather proof box for this one.....we'll see!
A blast out when it's running, defo!!
more ride vids then :-D

Thanks Pete :-)
kettles always on! I might keep the new one as a workshop camera for now,
though when I've finished this rebuild it hopefully won't have much to do!

I re-built my 1971 T120 this year from a full tear down that I did 13 yrs ago and then boxed..The gearbox is the "leaf spring " version so I had a few weeks riding round with 3 gears ( lots of fun) until I stripped it down again after researched the blogs to find out the varios cam plate positions. I also discovered how great it was to make my own gaskets and use grease instead of cement..lots of attempts but same gasket...NOW OK and NO LEAKS....YEAHHHHHHH

It's great when a plan comes together :-) I usually make my own gaskets but this time I bought a set!!

Hi J, I knew you could re-fit the cogs better than Mark Evans and in less tries, you do it just for fun LOL. Roll on No 11 can't wait, and I havn't even got a T120 but I do like to see a good mechanic at work, so if I find one I will watch him LOL, Only joking, You are the man!! I really like the way you can think up tools, stands etc, to help with the jobs you are doing at the time, that shows real inginuity. Keep em coming pal Dave
