This is a version of William Blake and Hubert Parry's "Jerusalem" I did years ago. I just did it in good gothic fun, I had to pitch my vocals down to make me sound a little bit less wimpy, and my non-British accent is horrible. I could probably do a better vocal now, but I think managed to delete the original music files, I worked quite a bit on that the beat and the synth sounds, so I wont be able to recreate those. I'm not the only one who's done a bad cover of this song, the one The Fall did was quite bad too, although Mark E Smith's authentic accent was obviously was cooler than mine. I really liked the version that Billy Bragg did, though. Apart from that, being non-British I mostly know the song from the "Chariots of Fire" soundtrack.

  • Now THAT was proof that the internet is mainly tripe.

  • Yeah, well when one day it all reaches critical mass and implodes in a big black hole of crappy information overload, then I'll stand up and claim it was all part of my evil plan.

  • Dear william blake my imagination is putrid. Them who are not beholdent to gods light let them be. Oh in vain. Oh god i know all your songs. Experiance only comes through experiance and innocence only gained in your final battle. Let them trumpet your horns and let the goat that is lead bleed from the fields from where she tread? LET THE BLIND SEE.

  • Emerson Lake and Palmer did one.

  • This cover of "Jerusalem" was not crappy. Corny and hammy, certainly YES. But not crappy.

  • HAHA is so funny!

  • I know it's cheesy, but I can't help liking this!

  • I wish someone would do a progressive rock version.
