@drwinkle101 This IS Footprints. Footprints was a 6/8 blues in c minor long time ago, but for many years Wayne has been using it as a vehicle for free musical exploration - each live version is different. Listen for the theme from 5:31 on...

Yes I must listen more closely. I am limited by expectation and resistance.

Masters like Wayne refuse to be put in a box. The moment you are put in a box you are already dead. Love it.

That's definitely Footprints. And about a half-dozen other melodies I recognize. At one point he steals a phrase off Palladium. And another time he went into--something else. I forget. Hot clip. Like when Wayne plays tenor.

Hey Dr Winkle, do you have the correct title for me as being that much expert, please?

How can this be Footprints? I can't recognise any of the tune in this funk workout, , and the tune anyway is in 3/4

Don't ask me but Wayne but from the start is the scheme still recognisable so I do not know why you say such. Ok, a bit free interpretated by Wayne itself but it is called Footprints, its live and you know how some tunes changes during the live performance over some years.............

I don't know what you are hearing but I don't hear a minor blues in 3/4 called Footprints!

Well, so as part1 starts and part2 ends in the end, ain't that the tune Footprints at all or am I, (and the director of this broadcast, responsable for the onscreen info, totally wrong?
Geepereet 3 years ago
Yes you and the director are wrong. This is definitely not Footprints. Check out Footprints and you will see,

Not that much a big surprise, happened before with a similar show from broadcast, all wrong titles. Have to admit I'm being publishing such without being that much informed (;
