My good friend Taylor has always had the eye for capturing great images with her film camera. I would always see the pictures she was capturing and know she just was a natural. Up until last week when I gave her the D3000 and 35 1.8 she had never used a DSLR before.

  • what software do you use to record your desktop screen?

  • @faytoottoot called screen flow

  • jared, why don't you use the black and white feature at the top? and always go for saturation/vibrance to 0?

also how do you get the exif data info on the top left of the frame??

  • @tomfewchuk it has become a habit for me to use the sliders i could just hit the button. The other stuff is under View and Options when in develop.

  • Is Jared using the Noise Reduction on LR3?

  • @rastafaris123 no, i do not touch it.

  • @pixelcomet this is one i don't agree with. I always recommend using the viewfinder it is more steady for holding the camera.

  • Really good stuff. But since she already loved photography, and had been shooting for a while... I don't really understand why you are so amazed. Yes, great photo, great eyes, superb DoF etc, but it's not like she had never taken a photo before.

  • I Know Its A Little Old But I Really Liked This Video :)

  • really nice video! Thank you!

  • what program do you think is best for raw editing, photoshop or lightroom?

  • Amen to that! Couldn't agree more and really lovely pictures!

  • I found my parents old film camera and it works great. Prints are amazing. Film is a little harder to shoot with but its worth it. Im also going to get a 3100 soon so i can shoot more.

  • Why do you not use the Noise Reduction? How does it affect sharpening? When I turn up the sharpness on a high-ISO image, the noise just becomes exaggerated. Masking helps, but then I end up with little "dots" on the edges of my image. What am I missing. (Canon T2i, Lightroom 3)

  • @boytanong Or they have a legitimate problem with the video resulting in them not liking it. It is absurd for you to be incapable of comprehending this possibility. What FroKnows is how to deliver a product through an efficient technical workflow, and he is very technically literate. This informs the way he talks about composing an image, and unfortunately it just isn't that interesting.

  • hey Jared, i need a good free photo editing software for editing my photos, any recommendations? i shoot with a d5000 btw.

  • the 83 people who didn't like this are lame and absurd.
