@XsoaproX No bird is considered a "beginners" bird. Sorry :) But i can tell you this...Senegals are sweet, loving, and so smart. VERY good birds for apartments, since the noise level isnt bad at ALL. Not as loud as your tiels. But be warned....they can test you!

what are senegals like as pets? im having trouble deciding on a pet bird, and i like the sound of the poicephalus family. are they good "first birds"? (i have had 4 budgies and a cockatiel before, but i would still like a bird recommended in the 'beginner' list) :P shes very pretty, and so sweet!

I don't recommend then has beginner birds, mine attacks me all the time, she only likes my husband. I got her as a weaned baby and she loved me at first and than choose my husband and does not want anything to do with me. They are a one person bird, and they will choose who they like.
