EDIT: WTF?! I just noticed that I did the navi battle twice and it got mixed up...oh well...it get's back on track after the match finishes the 2nd time... except with the shitty title thing, but we can live with it right?

**READ THIS PLEASE!*
Long time no video, so I thought just randomly on the spur of the moment I'd record some matches from my latest Project... Megaman Battle Emblem... Is it megaman battle network? or is it Fire emblem? or maybe MMBBC? ...it's a mixture...

Well here we go. As you will see the HP bars are fire emblemy and so are the status bars but with a megaman feel to em... Turn based fighting, criticals and normal attacks, some moves require cooling down after use cause they're most likely be deadly or deal multiple hits. Criticals are like in Fire Emblem emphasized with the character doing a trick of some sort with their weapon before using it and are emphasized further with a screen flash if they hit. but in these case's you can dodge the criticals. Some of the criticals here will unlock special moves which some can only be used at certain times, others are just plain annoying to get to work cause it's random.

You'll notice the thing called Manual dodging which allows you to dodge a move with a button press up to five times. Usually save them for when you're in a jam... and straying from Fire Emblem you've got Dynamic kills which result from killing the enemy with a predetermined move as you'll see here on these matches. You got your win screens and gameover screens, a two player and one player arena mode. Handicap so you can set the number of HP bars you got (max 12 for 480 HP) with if you set it to 0 you'll get 1 HP for sudden death matches. So far there's 6 characters +1 computer only character (Heel navi). I missed out shadowman unfortunately so please don't flame me for that cause i'll make sure in the next vid he's there.
And unlike fire emblem you've got yourself randomly generated Blocks and counters which add the the annoying mix up. With knightmans rockform and proto's stepsword guard to name a few of them.
So anyways enjoy the show... and please excuse the jumping video...I gotta work on getting the picture good and preferably unlaggy... -.-

Anyone who wishes me to send them a demo just comment me and I'll gladly send it too you... and this is not a mindless fighting game. there will be a one player campaign mode of some sort eventually when I get all the characters sorted out that I want in...

  • @capa881 yeah of course. why would I make this game if I wasn't a fan? ;) and well I just call black heelnavi the heel commander. lol but whatever name floats your boat. :D

  • But the recording I had back then doesn't do this game any justice... but now i can't properly record or play it cause my USB kicked the bucket on me. -.-

    CAn you send me that sound after Scopeman says "None of you, Can escape my arm..." That sound that you hear when you win a battle?

  • @capa881 the battle theme? sure. just that sound? I got basically all the OSTs of MMBN and starforce on my computer if you want to request a song to go with it. :P

  • Righto, I'm uploading the EXE to the upload site of my choice and I'll send it when it's done... but I'll mostlikely just whack it up on my channel, so check there. and as for other people for fortunately read this or come across it, feel free to DL it also. Once it's there, which will be a few hours because I gotta do something else first and I'm being hurried up to do it. -.-

  • well, I stopped progress on it and i'm working on a very fast paced kirby super star fighting game, but yeah if you want it I can zip up the old EXE and send it to you if you still want it.
