This is a version of the intro music to Great Giana Sisters on the Amiga, originally written by Chris Huelsbeck. This version was was done by me in about 1997, I sampled the SID sounds from the original Commode C64 version, then recording each channel separately. I then sampled C notes and each drum sample then chopped them up. I would then play back each channel separately and recreate what I heard in Fasttracker.

Making songs this way would then give you the full tune, with the ability to make a snazzy remix, or just record it for musical prosperity in your chosen format. Mods were cool because you could see each sample being played at it's respective note. Creating music in this style eventually gave you the ability to "see" other songs you heard :) When I hear a song on the radio, I imagine it in a tracker format.

And you never loose it :D

  • woooooow! :O

how long did it took you to make this???

  • @Tubofluxar Probably about 6 - 8 hours, I can't remember exactly, it was a long time ago.

  • @ChuckBleedinNorris But this isnt the exact same tune as was in the original C64 game is it? It sounds more complex than the C64 can produce.. doesnt C64 only have 4 channels?

  • @pastorrtom I used an extra 4 channels to ad reverb.

  • Excellent Work :)

  • Really good.... but you have made a typo in the information tab... The Amiga has nothing to do with this version :)

  • Nice work... brings back memories of the many hours I spent in this game on the Amiga.

  • Hah I know that feeling, when you "see" a song playing on the radio in tracker format. Thought I was the only one doing this hehe :)

  • @Ahle2 It is an Amiga Module.

  • yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • Really enjoyable, though there are some mistakes.

  • Oh DAMN, FastTracker.... *memory*

I must change to other Tracker Programs because my new PC at this Time got another IRQ Channel on Audio and FastTracker was Mute :(

  • ThankYOU, thanks - dAnKa .. my oh my I id, at LAST the proper music to the Giana Sisters.

Not the title song but this intro - and by gum lad, you did it proud.

Don't me wrong the Toccata and Fugue inspired title tune is superb but this upbeat number, excellently delivered by you Mr Norris is the greatest jolly Amiga related music ever written.

Love it, capturing it and burning it and tomorrow it will be blasted out from within my Car - convertible roof down - for all to hear! ; 10/10 friend:):)

  • check the bassline for mistakes

  • gr8 job!
