  • The Train was Really going to Hoboken not Newark

  • You know what I like about Comet Is? They're the closest living survivors of the original Comet IIs (before being modified into IIMs).

  • Nice catch! Lucky to see an FH and CIs, especially in the same consist.

Like NJT4211 said, this would be going to Hoboken. There is no connection between the Motown Line and the NEC, at least southbound, anyway. And since you can not legally run a diesel engine in NYC, all MidTown Direct trains are powered by ALP-44s or 46s

  • you're lucky to see Comet Is with a GP40FH-2 now a days, they were well common when sliders were used still.

  • This train is going to Hoboken

  • great video, nice tiger stripe, MNRR is known as 'Kevin's engine" because the infamous engineer (and my buddy) kevin had that engine almost every day for the first 4 weeks since it returned from being "rebuilt" 5 stars
