Welcome back everyone, and heres to a new year

I have cleaned my layout a little bit, in preparation for the arrival of my ho scale intermountain ES44DC, which is really an ES40DC. I should be getting it within the next week or so. I will have lots of clips of it, hopefully most of them will make it on to youtube. My condolences go out to Alexander Frye, a fellow model railroader who was bullied to the point of taking his own life.

As a model railroader I hold the responsibility to be a welcoming model railroader, I am here for anyone who is trying to deal with issues revolving around model trains.

Anyway, I will be creating more videos soon, and I welcome emails, send me an email to my account, but at gmail instead of youtube. Thank you

I do still offer weathering to people, you just need to ask.

that is all for now, send an email or comment for more information

  • Have you had MTH?

  • @d3lp0rto

    i have not, sadly

  • Lights arent bright because i believe the factory double resistored the lights by accident

  • @njtcoastline

yeah there was a miscommunication from intermountain, and tsunami making the boards. Tsunami put the resistors in their boards, and intermountain put the resistors in the loco, so it ended up that there were twice the resistors needed. I think the new run may have corrected this issue.

  • Hey David! Great update. Is the NS Gevo you are getting prototypical? I haven't heard/seen any NS ES44s, I have only seen ES40s on the NS system. Also I agree with you on the Atlas Trainmans, I just got 2 Atlas Trainman NS Gensets and they are fantastic models!

  • @Conrail1994

Yes! these things are very prototypical. check out intermountain railway companies website and look at the pictures they've got there. The handrails are right for NS, the high headlight, the front and rear ditch lights, the plow, the number boards, the placement of rear light, just about anything a modeler could ask for. these things will be great!

  • @modeltrain9500 Their new stuff looks sick....I'd get some but I don't have HO

  • In fact, u should get the atherns genesis sd70ace. The only known issue is the head lights burning out, but it can be easily resolved by replacing them w/ LEDs.

  • @bigB6flyer, you should try getting the dcs version of the sd70ace. I have only had lightbulb issues so far and that can be easily fixed by replacing them with LEDs.

  • The MTH SD70ACe's have had motor issues. Ive had to return one of my DCC-ready versions twice for re-motoring. Its finally working right. Ive been the owner for 14 months and Ive been able to enjoy it for 2. The DCC ready version also doesnt have enough room under the hood for the Soundtraxx Tsunami or ESU LokSound without shell modification.

  • Great video! I like your layout a lot! Keep the videos coming!

  • @Conrail1994 He meant (ES40)

  • It would be great if you put a video up of your BNSF ES44AC and your BNSF ACe lashed up and pulling a big freight!

  • @modeltrain9500 u no u can easily correct the problem, just take out the extra resistor.
