The trailer gives too much away and the tone is missed. It's an excellent mockumentary. Not meant to be scary - it's an homage to the horror genre and the classic slasher films. It's somewhat post-modern in its self-reflexivity and lucid awareness, but it achieves it beautifully where B-horror films attempting the same fail miserably. If you're looking for a classic slasher, this is not it. If you're looking for many nods of the head to the horror genre in a creative and unique way, this is it.

@Nexstarcrazyness Just cause you thought the movie was something else doesn't make it a terrible movie. And what you said is contradictory. "It should have been redone as a comedy" and "This is a mockumentary very much on the comedic side." You're saying the opposite thing there. They intended for the movie to be a mockumentary with more subtle humor more so then over the top obvious humor. I think it worked very well. But maybe you thinking it was serious is what ruined it for you.
