He can't stand being faraway from her. That's why he asks her to go with him though knowing that it's not right. Aum and aff play this part to the extent that can dig deep into the viewer's heart. I think that the husband is going to turn out to be gay. Which could be the reason why the marriage failed and they don't speak. Cause if you watch the opening credits it is a little revealing. Lol.
