The D1A from Collings Guitars is a classic 18 style dreadnought acoustic guitar. It features an Adirondack Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides. This is very loud, present guitar. Keeping up with the banjo won't be a problem with this guitar. This wood combination is a favorite for blue grass players, but it is versatile enough to excel in fingerstyle, jazz, and blues playing. This guitar has wonderful dynamics and warmth with just the right amount of sparkle. The workmanship is excellent, like all of Collings guitars. Please contact us for more information about our amazing selection of guitars. 888.528.9703

  • Really nice to hear(on you tube) what's closer to the true sound of this guitar. Thanks for going through all the trouble with your recording set-up.

  • @Kugerand727 Thank you! We're all guitar players here, so we understand how important it is to capture the actual "tone" of the instrument. Our studio/video departments ensure that every recording is as accurate as possible.

  • I have a D1A and they are great in a band situation and can really cut thru. It has a big bottom end as well.

  • @popoaggie Agreed! It's wonderful thing to own an instrument that can cut through while retaining it's balance.

  • Wow! and it only cost more than my car!...but took a fraction of the time and materials to make!

  • @frogjim You've probably heard the saying "you get what you pay for."

  • @rij666 Thanks for watching! We have some videos with drums, check out our page!

  • @soundpurestudios Hey thanks guys ! Would you put up some vids regarding drums ?

  • @rij666 The preamp is a required part of the recording chain, microphones always feed a preamp of some kind. Some computer interfaces and the like have built in preamps, just typically not very good ones, which is why we always utilize a professional-grade, high quality mic preamp after the microphone

  • Why do you always use a preamp ? whats its use for recording acoustic guitars ?
