  • I'm appalled at some of these comments. Yes, the racing itself is not the problem, but when you make it a money making venture, you get poor quality owners who are only there to make money.

The solution is not to stop breeding them, but to stop the racing industry and then let them only be bred like any other purebred dog.

I own two ex-racers myself and they are the sweetest dogs I've ever had.

  • Personally i think that the whole dog racing thing is kind of stupid.

However, in my opinion it would be a better idea to just have MUCH stricter regulations on the racing industry, rather then just outright banning them...

I think that outlawing these dog racing tracks would not get rid of them for the most part, i think it would just turn it into an underground event, probably resulting in even worse abuse of the dogs...

...But that's just my opinion, and i'm no expert on any of this.

  • I made a 3 minute podcast as part of my radio work. The title is Should Greyhound Racing be banned? I argue why it shouldn't be banned! Have a listen - as I am willing to hear your side of the argument. Check out my channel and click on the link to my webpage to check it out!

  • i have a greyhound and i love him never give him up for anything.

  • @KingTermite Disagree. You are putting your dogs in harms way when you put it on the track. No matter how much you claim to love and respect that animal, you throw caution and reason to the wind when you enter that animal in races. Yes greyhounds and other animals sometimes hurt themselves in play, but when it predictably and foresee-ably happens for the purposes of gambling, that's industrialised animal cruelty. Past injury reports speak for themselves.

  • @xTziDroopy

was your dog abused before you adopted or was he cared for just wondering if its all the dogs gettin abused or like the postal shootings just a small sample dont want to ban the postal service for a few bad apples

  • just watched ur film ,thanks for putting it out there.i have an ex racer he is wonderful .the more ppl that know about the abuse these dogs get the more ppl can support and even maybe adopt x

  • Personally my family raises greyhounds and I understand that some greyhounds get abused but dont all breeds? It's just a few of the raisers that treat the dogs in this cruel way. I can just say what i know, but we and people we associacate ourselfs with treat our dogs much better than this.

  • this ripped me open!!! i love greyhounds as we know running and racing is what they love but no way should they be treated like this i feel sicken'd!!! greyhound racing is a great sport but fuck those (treat an animal as a business venture asshole's)

  • It's horrible how they treat these dogs... but if we make it illegal in the U.S.A it will most likely become an underground event and then the dogs will be treated even worse, so I think there should be stricter regulations on how they can treat their dogs. I don't mean for that to sound bad, just thinking about the dogs.

  • Sweet, gentle, amazing dogs. I can only hope for karma on these sociopaths (or outlawing the sport) because these people are truly no better than Micheal Vick.

  • i have 3 greyhounds and the are my babies
