ADOPTED 2-9-08!!! Asher is a very sweet and loving male guinea pig who was surrendered to the shelter because his family got a new puppy and did not have time for him anymore. Wtih so many other animals at the shelter, he barely gets any attention so needs new family that can appreciate how wonderful he is. He gets along great with rabbits and would do well with one in his new family. He is currently living at the Watsonville Animal Shelter.

haha dat reminds me of my guinea pig dawn i got her in a pet shop and she was in a cage with a rabbit and they were really good friends i got mine when she was 4 months shes 7 months old now :)

that is so sad that someone gave him away for a dog. guinea pigs are way better than dogs. guinea pigs don't bite your baby's face off or chew up your couch.

Go to the cavyspirt website. They have a ton of info. Petfinder is a good website to rescue a guinea pig in your area.

Don't worry, he was adopted to the best home and has a g pig and rabbit to visit with.

He was friends with everything, inlcuding a chicken we had at the shelter.
