FallSaver is the first device shown in clinical trials to be highly effective at reducing falls in hospital patients and the high-risk elderly who should not walk without assistance. The small FallSaver patch is worn on the back of the leg for up to two weeks. The patch sounds an alarm when a patient gets up unassisted, in the room or over the door or at the nurses' station, in enough time for someone to assist and help prevent a fall. Only one device needed to follow a patient from bed to chair to toilet to shower to down the hall. Actual decibel level is much louder.
