Chapter 63 Part 1

Heyyyy guys! Sorry I haven't posted in so long, I just got a new mac computer (!!!!!) so ive been getting all my itunes stuff back on it and everything!
btw its my birthday today, and i am SOOO excited! its been really great so far!

(Danielle wakes up and looks at her phone. She has 3 unread messages but she looks at the time first. 5:45)
Danielle (thinking): I can actually run today! Its been 4 days since I was sick! Whoop whoop! Now Joe doesnt have to go alone I feel so bad
(She checks the messages on her phone. One from Kevin and one from Caitlin, back home. She opens the one from Caitlin first. It says:
yup yup!
im so excited tho!
and you know how I broke up with seth FINALLY? He was just so annoying anymore. But now im going out with bret J talk about exciting!
Danielle texts her back and says:
BRET?!?! ew cait, whats wrong with you?!?! jk jk hes pretty cool and totally hot!
She sends the message and then opens the one from Kevin:
good morning beautiful J
She smiles and then sends one back with just a smiley face. She notices the date on her phone. August 15th)
Danielle: Joes birthday!
(She gets up and runs downstairs to see Joe sitting on the couch and jumps on it next to him)
Danielle: Happy birthday!
Joe (laughs): Thanks
Danielle: Ill be back down to run in a minute! I have to get dressed
(She goes upstairs and gets dressed and then goes out running with Joe)

Later:
(It is now later in the night about 10:45 and Danielle is watching Happy Gilmore with Joe and Melissa. When it ends, Joe leans back and puts one arm around each of the girls)
Joe: Last time I said this, it ended real bad, but I really think this time that I have the two best girls that I could ever want right here with me on my birthday
Melissa: Huh?
Joe: I
Danielle: Hes got his girlfriend and his best lady friend. Ive been through this before
Melissa: Well what do you mean it ended badly last time?
Danielle: Thats what he said about Lauren. But then he broke up with her
Joe: Yeah, but this time, that wont happen. I REALLY hope
Melissa (smiles): I should probably get going. My mom and dad want me to sleep well tonight because were going somewhere tomorrow
Danielle: Okay, night Missy!
(Danielle gives her a hug and then scoots to the end of the couch. Melissa then gives Joe a hug)
Joe: Night Mel, see you on
(He cant say anything else because Melissa leans in and kisses him. Its about a 7 second kiss and then she stops)
Melissa: Night Joe
(She leaves and Danielle closes the door behind her. Danielle goes back over to the couch and sits next to Joe facing him and smiles)
Danielle: Joe?
(He doesnt answer)
Danielle: Joe!
Joe: Whoa, what?
(Danielle laughs at him)
Joe: Oh, sorry Wow
Danielle: Aw, Joe and Melissas first kiss! And I was here to see it! Eeeep!
Joe: That was amazing
Danielle (laughs; jokingly): Hmm. Maybe shes the one
Joe: I really hope so
Danielle (laughs again): I gotta go to bed Joe, night
(She gives him a hug and then starts upstairs)
Joe: Thanks for watching that movie with me Danielle
Danielle: No problem. Love you
Joe: Love you too
(AN brother-sister love!)
(She goes upstairs and goes into Kevins room. He is in his bed with all the lights off and its really dark. She walks over and sits on the side of his bed)
Danielle: Kevin, are you awake?
(He opens his tired eyes and looks at her squinting in the dark)
Kevin: What?
Danielle: You never told me goodnight
Kevin: Im sorry if I didnt. Goodnight
(Uncaring, he rolls back over in his bed and falls asleep. Danielle gets up angrily and goes into her room. She lays on her bed, turns on her iPod and texts people. About a half hour later, Kevin comes in with tired eyes and sits on the other side of her bed. She sighs quickly and rolls over on her other side)
Kevin: Baby?
Danielle (angrily): Dont call me that
Kevin: What?
Danielle: You should know what
Kevin: Is it because I didnt tell you goodnight because that was what I came in here for
Danielle: No. Thats not it
Kevin: Then what is?
Danielle (turns to him): Hmm, lets see, maybe because I came into your room about a half hour ago to tell you goodnight but some smart butt just said, and I quote
Danielle (mocking Kevin): Im sorry if I didnt. Goodnight
Danielle: And then just rolled back over TOTALLY not even caring
