Pharaon is pretty simply to defeat, just floating in center of the floor and fly up after Pharaon's shoots - bullets from his head never catch you because of their angle.
Myth always crashed on me when i got to the Egyptian level so i never got to see the final level! And holy shit!!!!, the graphics are absolutely stupendous!!! Damn Cassette Tape loads spoiled it all for me :(
I never had this back in the day, but it certainly features some of the best C64 graphics. The end boss music seems inappropriate though. It completely lacks any sense of menace. In fact, the audio is probably the weakest aspect, which is unusual for a C64 game.
Unfortunetely he's right. I didn't play the spectrum version and it seems a hell lot more complete.
The C64 version is just like the Commodore Amiga. Difference is, the main character is a warrior and not some teen and the graphics are obviously better on the Amiga.
So you either play the Spectrum version or the Amiga version. This game is still great, but it's nothing compared to the original or the 16bit version.
What a technical marvel this game was. I loved how for a platformer, the end-level was better than many C64 shoot-em-ups! I remember the first and only time any in-game music kicked in in this game during the encounter with Dameron - what an adrenaline rush!!
