@Tradingtutor 1)Who says something that is unproductive must be taxed? I dont want you or the govt to impose your definition of "productive" on the rest of us. 2)Price discovery/hedging/liquidity are useful - so I dont know why u think those mrkts are unproductive. 3)Lastly, even if u were right and if we assume those mrkts to be unproductive why would u choose to transfer the money to govt. They will be even less productve!! Your claims make no sense.

1) Smart people shouldnt be able to work just because the regulators are too dumb to understand what they are doing?? 2) Derivatives are not a part of most people's portfolios..if any derivative exposure exists in the average client portfolio it will be simplistic options contracts.

Wall st paid the money back with interest & the taxpayers made a profit. He should go to detroit..they didnt still have their bail out money.

@MrMccaberules exactly, capitalism gives you the right to do that, while if you were to do that in a communist state, your shot on scene, a communist leader who ruled china killed 70 million of his own people because they talked bad about their government, and if capitalism is so bad, why did people try to escape communist east germany to capitalist west germany??? communists are fucked up, and nothings perfect, but people can make it a hell of a lot worse

Matthews needs to lay off the speed. Shut up a sec. and let your guests answer....coward. And to those who say Socialism and Communism don't work...maybe if they were given a chance 'without' corrupt government destroying them, we'd see better results. Same with Capitalism - corrupt government has destroyed this system. We now only survive by robbing other countries and enslaving their people, and our poor.
