@MetalMusicRequest actually if you watch 'Batman New Adventures' episode called Mad Love, where it shows Harley's origin, the Joker hears her name and says, "Rework it a bit, and you get Harley Quinn!" To which Harley replies, "Like the clown. I know." And her costume taken from a Harlequin outfit. Actually an episode centralizing around Harley of Batman: The Animated Series was called Harlequinade.

@8andimpala You're clearly the uneducated one . Harlequin doesn't refer to "Harley Quinn". It refers to the Jokers original name, the HARLEQUIN of hate. Thats where Harley's name was derived from. Jackass.
