Teresa Berganza sings the most haunting interpretation of Neris' Aria, "Solo un pianto con te versare", from Cherubini's Medea. This was taken from the great Dallas performance of Medea with Maria Callas that took place in November 6th, 1958, conducted by Nicola Rescigno.
impresionante aria de la gran Berganza.

This is wonderful aria in incredible interpretation!!! *BRAVA TERESA* I have audio recording of this.. What a pity, that´s not a video recording with Callas and Berganza :( ;(

Thanks so much for making this available. Neris's aria is so wistful, and I can hardly imagine a more perfect voice for the role. Calla's audio recordings of 'Medea' are so riveting, I can only lament that there were no films (with sound) of any of the performances.
