The World is full of possibilities... And truly, the ONLY boundaries in life are those that WE create in our minds.
When my daughter was born,she was immediately taken to another state to have neurosurgery. I awoke to stories of
'no hope' and decided that NO HOPE WAS FOR THOSE OF NO FAITH. And,she defied odds. She has been a cheerleader, dancer, cyclist.Featured in newspapers, magazines,television, even on ESPN. By thirteen,she had a senate resolution in her honor.Presidential Commendations.She followed that by being Jr.Ms. Wheelchair Texas,then trained with the IPC. She serves as a beacon to succeed in spite of adversity.. Working with Governor's Committees to help bring change, set up workshops, conferences, expos with products that are emerging in the market,help setup scholarships and grants for individuals with disabilities. Organize a program that acknowledges companies which hire/train and help mainstream disabled individuals in the marketplace. Develop a series of PSA's that would draw attention to the organization as well as help change the way public percieves disabilities. FOR THEM TO SEE THE SOUL OF A PERSON,NOT THE DISABILITY THAT SHOULDN'T DEFINE THEM.I cannot change my daughter's disabilities, but I want to try and change the world around her. It would be my gift to her. Through the many benefits of the organization, it would be a gift to countless others as well. What a gift in life to see people at their very best. .Helping others.Attempting to bless one another's lives.I hope that people submit ideas and people run with them.It's not who does the good deed,it's that it happens.... challenging others to Give Big.Take care and much love to all our friends......
