Alabama had continued its amazing run of success through the first half of the 1990s, enabling the Fort Payne, Alabama-based band to issue their third album of greatest hits. Included in this 11-track album are eight previous No. 1 hits, including the original single version of "Tennessee River" (an extended live version was included on their first Greatest Hits collection). A holiday/Christian-themed fan favorite, "Angels Among Us," is also included.
Dedicated to nephews, neices and to all the children throughout the world who are Angels among us. Especially to the ONE from up above who sent these angels to us. Thanks for watching!

I think it's a beautiful song, with a great melody, but I don't believe there is a god that has angels watching over us. My aunt suffered for months and months before finally succumbing to her cancer. Worship something that could let that happen, I don't think so. Praying does nothing. It's something people do to make them feel like they're doing something when they're really doing nothing. There can't be a god, and if there is, he doesn't love us.

This was played for my grandfather in December at his funeral. U.S. Army Veteran and Firefighter for my hometown. Rest in Peace Grandpa 4/1/1938 to 12/5/2011. My father, cousin, uncle and myself all carry on his firefighting tradition for it never dies.

i think of my cousin whenever i hear this song. itbrings tears to my eyes. he left us almost a year ago. i miss him so much and will love him forever. everyone says im starting to resemble him. they say i am him but younger. i love you god-daddy, forever and always. erin go braugh

One of my best friend's lost her 5 month old daughter almost 12 years ago. They asked me to sing this song for her. I still get choked up every time i hear it. We still love you and miss you Erin.
