If they let him win, then I'm going to get a papercut on my toe (injuring myself) then enter the race with Carbon fiber leg extensions that make my legs 2 feet longer with springs attached to the bottoms. Then I'll be able to run 40% faster than the other runners, get the winnings and retire. Nobody will have any problems with that.
Oh please!!! Thats the most stupid thing I have ever heard!!!!!! Are you an idiot or what??? Can you imagine how many people get motivated by seeing him compete with regular people with both legs??? Man if I were you I'd just shut up if I hjave nothing supportive to say about a man that is so brave he has overcome so many obstacles. That was a really stupid thing to say on your behalf.
I agree that Oscar has achieved some really amazing things and his story is really inspirational. If I had lost my legs I would never have thought something like this is possible. He is a great guy and an amazingly determined athlete.
But that does not make it OK for him to use scientifically engineered equipment that makes him faster than a person who has legs.
@bobdonda but he doesnt do it to win, he says he feels he has a responsibility to inspire all of the other people out there who see these incredible athletes and can never amount to them because of disability, he does it in the name of sportsmanship not gamesmanship!
