It feels almost "wrong" to upload this one while it's daylight but I have the Hornets- Grizzlies tonight and I never come straight home so..... I suggest you come back later and listen to this; say around midnight?

  • I used to go see, and listen to, "The Brown Canary" as often as I could. To see this guy sing in a small club was an experience I'll never forget, and miss. Thanks, Johnny. We all, here in "Da' Big Easy" miss ya'.

  • @pobouyone "Tan" but no matter, I saw him once in a small nightclub setting and it was magic. His voice was better in person and I think that was because it was from his vocal chords to your ears with nothing in between. Everyone thinks Cole was one of the best, many feel it was Tony Williams (The Platters) but it seems Adams has made no one's list, that is as a consensus. Now dat's criminal.

  • How about uploadin' "My Heart is Hangin' Heavy"? I can't find my cd, otherwise I'd consider doin' it myself. :)

  • @alldane1 You'll have it by tomorrow afternoon. If dat's too late, then drink some bourbon to hold you over.

  • Has a conversation with someone today and they say they never heard of Johnny. Coming from Texas he is one of my favorites. Thanks for the up load

  • @stanleyhubbardsr You're very welcome! I was in Alaska a while back and was talking some music and I mention "Gene Pitney". The 2 people I was talking to never heard of him. I got desperate and started rattling off song titles and they still had no clue. They were in their 40s! It ruined my night....and it was one long night.

  • He's my all time favourite vocalist.

Nobody came close to this type of Blues feel.

  • Yeah, looooove this version... wish I still had the 45.

  • It's just a damned shame that Johnny never got the recognition he deserved. He was one of the greatest singers who ever lived. That may sound like hype to some people , but I truly feel that way. He should be a legend everywhere ,not just in New Orleans.

  • @9thWardJukebox

Tomorrow afternoon is more than Gracious 9thWardJB!

Thank You for accomodatin' my request.

    God Speed.
