God wasn't with Troy Davis. Only men and women can change the laws they make. I am told that I must respect the religious beliefs of others, but is that just another piece of propaganda? I want my children to think for themselves.

Deity-based religions demand that young children be taught to believe in something they cannot see, touch or hear. And to speak to it. This lays a fertile subsoil for believing almost everything else that those in authority tell them about anything.

Why hasn't "God" spoken directly to the Australian Aborigines, for example? They had a completely different belief system until the preachers came along, similar to the original inhabitants of what is now called North America.
