The Youth Showcase Concert was a new event for the 2008 Festival.

It's aim is to highlight and promote the talents and progress of the many young pianists, musicians and dancers who come to the Festival.

It is primarly aimed at peope who are under 18 years old and in particular those learning Boogie Woogie and related styles of music and dance.

A relection of the importance given to the event was that it was held in the main Sturminster Exchange Venue, with the pianists playing on a Concert Grand Piano.

In this Movie Clip, Festival Organiser Julian Phillips can be seen introducing the first 3 pianists, Kingsley Frizzel, Emily Lees and Adam West.

The UK Boogie Woogie Festival takes place every year over a long weekend in July, based in Dorset, Southern England. Regular Club Meetings are also held throughout the year.
