i remember this...abc had the best logos, best shows in the 70's. we never watched the other two channels except for mash and saturday night live.

Back in the early days of TV it was NBC RED, NBC Blue, and CBS. The FCC forced NBC to get rid of one set of affilites, so blue became NBC red became ABC.

That show has been on for years...why are you hating on All My Children? You should be hating on their shitty ass reality shows!

For 25 years, ABC had been the #3 network, and often a poor #3. But by 1977-78, with shows like Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Mork and Mindy, etc. They were the top-rated network for the first time in history. ABC execs were so elated that they spend millions on this series of videos and to get the rights to the Orleans song "You're Still The One". The other networks had to have their own elaborate long-form productions too.

I think TV was better when we had fewer channels.... You had to make it good so you would watch. Most of it today is CRAP!!!! Miss the good 'ol days!!!

Finally! I have been bringing up this campaign for years and no one remembered it. I'm glad someone does!

1977 and 1979 had the best ABC fall promos!

A child of the 70s and 80s (graduation 1985): I miss the memories of the television and movies!!!! Thank you to everyone, YOUTUBE, and the internet!!
In the ABC fall promo for 2008, I was part of the rehearsal and taping, on the same day as "Pushing Up Daisies", "General Hospital", "Lost", "Grey's Anatomy" & "Desperate Housewives". I was a stand in for Josh Holloway (Sawyer on "Lost") and Patrick Dempsey (Derek on "Grey's"). Met all the casts and was a lot of fun!

ABC is the best ya all. Wish they can bring back Monday Night Football. And they should do one of these promos.
