It's scared American paranoia that keept the US from a "Nazi Germany" or a 'Stalin communist Russia" by now. You should thank them, not ridicule them.

I guess I don't understand why it matters if they know I purchased gas, groceries, etc. I have nothing to hide, I don't see how they could use it against me. I think that if the gov. or whoever wants my info bad enough they could get it. I also have nothing to hide and am not guilty of anything, if I was then maybe I would be worried. It's a good observation for those who would like to hide more.

I agree with you, totally. No other explanation necessary. ;)

@porovaara well just make sure you and your kids get all the vaccines prescribed by the government and you don't worry about other people getting vaccinated. artificially induced immune reaction is harmful to the body especially at an early age. Disease is not a static phenomena, it is constantly changing to take over a weak host.
-
And sometimes I wonder if we're marking ourselves just by talking like this on youtube or facebook?
Every computer/location has a unique IP address that is stored in every website you visit and comment on. It's not frightening. It's unnerving.

Thanks for this video; apply the same concept to regular ol' credit cards and debit cards (interac) and it's even more chilling. Aren't the big banks our enemy? And we're handing over our most personal habits and tidbits to them electronically?
That's why we only use cash, except in emergencies. Cash is not traceable. (unless you rob a bank and all the bills' serial numbers are sequential)

@porovaara A person is selfish for deciding what goes into, or is not allowed to go into, their body?? What right does ANY government have to say what goes into a person's body, or take away a person's right to decide?? :(
-
@nunezger you are, you are putting other people in danger. you are a horribly selfish person.
-
@nunezger Good for you for standing up for yourself!! Keep it up!

i can understand and agree with the need for not giving so much info to people you dont know the exact motive of. but...............you're still on the drivers license data base. what can be done about that one other than just not driving?
-
Maybe not govt driven on this data collection (at least not yet).
It's "Big Business" doing it, driven by greed. Of course you can say that "Big Business" owns the govt and I'd agree with you 100%.
"Big Business" knows what you consume, they share this data with the insurance cartel, if you consume something to excess like tobacco or alcohol the insurance cartel will jack your rates to the moon or drop your coverage.
"Big Business" + "Big Govt" = the true "Nanny State"
Thanks for the video.
Listen girls - because you use these cards the recipient of the data knows, amongst other things
1. When you have your period,
2. What size your knickers are,
3. What contraception you use,
4. What bra size you need,
5. What medications you are on,
6. What sort of sex you like,
Need I go on?
This is completely apart from your age, sex, location, financial status, job, children, education, criminal record, etc etc.
Do you want these things known? Think about it!

@MrBoggerly And....where is your list for the men?
YounaTuber 6 months ago
@YounaTuber As it happens men tend to give less of a monkey's about this sort of stuff ... so its no good talking to them. They also do less shopping by and large, certainly for domestic items. These store/loyalty/reward cards are targeted at women, and so its women that should really think twice about exactly what details they are revealing to these large corporations. I might add, of course that they DO collude over things like prices and swapping data.
