Karch Kiraly is considered the greatest volleyball player in the game's history and will retire after the 2007 season. He looks back on 30 years in the sand.

Karch is the greatest of all time. In fact, I named my only son Karch after him. Karch is indeed a Hungarian hame.

As I know his father was born in Hungary. By the way his name means King in hungarian ;) And it's true :)

I've met some great athletes in my time, from Gretzky to Jordan to Favre, Federer to Agassi, but I rank Karch Kiraly as the #1 of all-time for ALL sports.
The guy was the best for 20 years, indoor and outdoor. Against the world.
The AVP will die without Karch. Sad, but I think it's heading that way.....
